Danielle & Joseph’s Same Day Edit | Gray Gables Estate Wedding Videography

Enjoy Danielle and Joseph’s Gray Gables Estate Wedding Videography.  We were thrilled when Danielle’s mom contacted us to produce a Same Day Edit for her daughter’s wedding at Gray Gables Estate.   We love producing Same Day Edits and sharing them with the couple, their friends and family at the reception.    A little quote from the bride “It’s an immense blessing when you’re best friends with the person you fall in love with and that’s exactly how our story played out! We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and for everyone to experience that special day with us!” A special day indeed – enjoy!  And for more on Danielle and Joseph’s story, see below the film =)

Their story from the Bride:  “Joe and I have known each other for quite some time now. We went to middle school together and then re-connected at Oregon State University through Ben and Stefanie (his brother and sister-in-law; also, she’s one of my best friends and bridesmaid). After college we started hanging out more as friends and began talking more frequently. Getting to know each other on a more personal level so we could build a solid friendship. It wasn’t until one night in September 2012 when a group of friends went out on the town did I really see him in a different light…it took him a little while longer to see me as more than a friend though. We all know how slow guys take to admit to love.

Over the next two years, we continued as close friends and visited each other when he came to town. Throughout most of our friendship, Joe was either living in Corvallis, in Georgia for Infantry Basic Officer Leaders Course (IBOLC), Ranger School, Airborne School, or at his first duty station in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Finally, in April 2014, we both realized our friendship had grown into something much more. We started dating in April 2014, I courageously moved 3,000 miles to North Carolina to be with him in July 2014, we had our first child (a yellow Labrador); Archibald Benedict Meyer Alexandre, and got engaged over Christmas 2014. Needless to say, this past year was a rollercoaster. However, I wouldn’t change any part of it.

The proposal was very romantic, but I didn’t realize it was at the time. His family; mom, dad, two brothers, and their significant others, along with Joe’s best friend/best man, Jacob, Joe and I all went to a nice dinner at Stanford’s in Lake Oswego. Joe had wanted to take family pictures up at a lookout in Lake Oswego after dinner where we could see all of Portland. I thought it was a great idea since their whole family isn’t together all that often. Our car had Joe, myself, his friend Jake, brother Zach and Zach’s girlfriend. Joe started walking up the hill and I stuck around at the bottom with our car people, until Joe called out to me that I should come up and see the view with him. I started walking, and thought everyone was with me, but when I got to the top, no one was! Joe and I walked around the top to the other side where you could see the city and talked about how cold it was and how pretty the lookout was. There was a gentleman and his son who arrived at the top just when we did and were trying to talk to us. Joe, being very outgoing, wasn’t talking much and felt uncomfortable they were there with us. The guy said “oh, sorry man, are you guys in the middle of something?” I said “No!” and continued conversation for a minute. Little did I know, Joe was stressing out over the fact that they were there with us. A few minutes later, the man and his son walked away, and that’s when Joe got down on one knee and proposed!!! His whole family was looking on at a distance and were taking pictures. It was very sweet and quite unexpected!! He pulled it off quite well 🙂 It’s an immense blessing when you’re best friends with the person you fall in love with and that’s exactly how our story played out! We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together and for everyone to experience that special day with us!”
