AMANDA:
After shooting and editing our first wedding together back in 2005 I remember thinking “Wow, this is my path.” My love of weddings, the imagery we created, the stories we got to tell, the memories we preserved and the emotions we wove into these stores for future generations to cherish - it was my calling.
I grew up in the country here in the Pacific NW. While I love the city, getting away to enjoy a day on the river, lake or mountain with Scott and our kids is pretty stellar.
My former career was as a fashion designer for 12 years. I always say that designing a garment that people will love to wear and crafting an epic image to hang on your wall has the same underlying design principles. Or maybe it’s just justifying my Bachelors degree in fashion design =)
While studying at Drexel University in Philadelphia, I represented the US at a fashion design competition at the Louvre in Paris. My sculptural dress was created out of actual wedding photographs that I took!
Looking back I should have know that photography had an important role to play in my life. While in design school, I took as many photography classes as I could. It was a hobby that I loved and paired well with my degree in Fashion Design.
I love to dance and you might catch me bopping during your reception while capturing fun photos on the dance floor.
SCOTT:
I knew after our first date that Amanda was the woman I would marry. It might have taken her a few more dates to reciprocate the revelation =)
I’m a musician and love all things creative and technical. I’ve been an audio engineer for 20 plus years which comes in super handy when crafting our wedding film scores.
In my former career I was a circuit board designer. I was also in the Navy once upon a time.
No surprise, I'm a huge movie buff. I have a few favorites that I enjoy watching over and over!
Hockey is my favorite sport and I play rec hockey whenever I can find the time.
I grew up in Santa Clara and my favorite hockey team is the San Jose Sharks.
