Ambient Sky’s Boutique School Portraits offer a custom, fine art style Portland school photography experience that provides a more elevated option for parents than the standard, boring school photos. I am passionate about providing families with everything I want for my own family when it comes to pictures. Beautiful, emotive images that I am proud to display in my home, multiple images to choose from, an easy online ordering process and a product of exceptional quality. My service is personal and professional. I provide a fun experience and take pride in providing an environment where the kids can relax and be themselves. Unlike large, corporate photography operations, I only take on a few, select schools so that I can provide superior customer service and artistic images.

I also have the option for larger schools to set up as a fundraiser where I give a portion of profits back to your school. For larger schools, 10% is donated back to the school. This is a great way to raise extra funds for your school.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
Boutique School Portraits offers a completely online operation. Each child will receive a minimum of 2 (but likely many more!) images presented in both color and black & white. Images are hosted in a private password-protected online gallery where parents can clearly see proofs and chose the photos they want to order, as opposed to having a pose chosen for them and pre-ordering. Galleries are set up according to grade, homeroom, or whatever grouping makes sense for the school. In addition to traditional package prints and single prints, I also provide boutique product choices such as canvas gallery wraps and digital images for future printing and archiving. Parents are not required to order anything if they choose not to.
A detailed PDF describing all ordering procedures and shooting day preparation will be provided to your school to be distributed to families prior to photo day. Prints are ordered online and delivered directly to the school. I handle any questions from parents and families about ordering and products.
I provide the school with all high resolution digital files to use for yearbooks, website, school advertising, school ID’s, etc. I take staff photos and provide a complimentary digital file for staff members as well. I am also able to work with schools to provide custom services that fit your unique needs.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There is no cost to the school! In fact for most schools I donate 10% of the order profits back to your school. There are no up-front costs for the parents. I have competitive rates and they simply order if they choose after seeing the photos available. I offer a variety of collections and a-la-carte products comparable with traditional school photography.
HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
I provide this service to schools as small as 50 students and as large as 500 students. I have photographed kids ages 1-18.
WHAT WILL OUR SCHOOL NEED TO DO?
Really, I take care of almost everything. Once we find a date for the photos, I will send your school an email to forward to parents as well as a printable PDF of the info. I will answer parent questions before and after photo day.
I will work with your school to create a schedule for the day. I will also come in prior to the day to find the best place to set up so we have a clear plan.
On photo day, I will bring an assistant to help or your school can provide some parent volunteers to assist with the children. I will also bring all of the necessary equipment. That’s pretty much it!
WHAT TIME OF YEAR DO YOU CONDUCT THESE FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTO SHOOTS?
I work with each individual school to schedule shoots any time during the academic year. Most schools choose to offer these in the Fall or Spring. They can be your exclusive school photos or a supplement to your existing school photography.
