COVID-19 Wedding – Persimmon Country Club

Hosting a COVID-19 wedding is a current reality of the summer weddings in 2020. Alanna and Alek had a wonderful wedding at the Persimmon Country Club practicing proper social distancing and mask wearing safety to ensure all their guests and vendors felt comfortable attending their wedding during COVID-19. The guest count was under 25 and they hosted the wedding and reception outdoors on the beautiful patio overlooking the epic Persimmon Golf Course with views of Mt. Hood and the hills beyond. All the guests wore masks and many of them had ones that coordinated with their outfits, making it a great way to express their style while still looking out for the safety of their loved ones.

At the ceremony each guest had their own seat reserved with customized name-cards with each couple or family group sitting together, yet properly spaced from the other pairings of guests for safety. During the reception cocktail tables were spaced throughout the patio and the catering staff served a variety of plated appetizers to each guest. The guests continued to wear their masks and be social at a distance through out the reception.

It was a beautiful sunny day and I loved spending time with the happy couple and their wonderful family and friends. Because of COVID-19 wedding restrictions in Oregon, it was a very unique event. However the celebratory atmosphere was not hindered by the restrictions due to the pandemic. It was a perfect intimate wedding celebrating their love and commitment to each other. I was honored to get to capture it for them. Enjoy a few sneak peeks from their Oregon wedding photography collection.
