A little bit about their love story from the bride….
“We met 8 years ago when Luke was in the Marine Corps with only 4 months left on his enlistment. A chance encounter through mutual friends at an ultimate frisbee game led us to discover that we were each other’s missed connection from a party two years previous. We spent that summer together enjoying the PNW to the fullest. We were destined for years of long distance, however, when Luke moved to California and then to Germany to re-activate as a reservist. Through it all, we endured longing and heartache but we also developed rich communication and planned for and dreamed of a future when we would finally be together. After years of long-distance, we started our little life together in Eugene. That was almost 5 years ago. Three years ago Luke proposed on the Portland waterfront after a river cruise on Valentines Day. We married each other in our hearts many years ago and look forward to celebrating with our family and friends.”
